In the selection of players for the SDO programme and Team Afghanistan it is strength of character and determination that are key requirements.
The players are selected that:
Have economic problems and through our relationship we can support them both morally and financially Have a big interest in football, and are honest and hard working Participate in daily exercises regularly and have good behavior and attitude with the team Attend all training conducted by Sanayee development organization Their families are pleasant and satisfied with their joining in SDO team
Once selected the players are entitled to a range of privileges: In addition to training privileges such as (Training workshops, football trainings, moral support etc...) players are paid two dollars (US $2) per day for their food and refreshments,. We also provide their uniforms and efforts are undertaken to provide them with employment.
SDO also aims to provide national and international exposure opportunities for the players, where they are ambassadors for football, peace and their country. In this regard SDO and Homeless World Cup together have prepared two exposure visits as 8 players participated in 2006 in south Africa and 9 players participated in 2007 Homeless World cup tournament in Denmark.
